Terms of use.
Plain terms for using this site. By browsing indichandlooms.com you agree to what follows — it's short, and mostly common sense.

Using the site
Indic Handlooms is a free, informational field guide to India's handloom traditions. You're welcome to read, share, and link to it. Please don't use the site unlawfully, attempt to disrupt or attack it, or scrape it at scale in a way that degrades it for others.
Our content
The original writing, structure, and design on this site are our intellectual property. You may quote short excerpts with credit and a link back, but please don't republish whole articles or present our work as your own without permission.
Photographs and third-party material
Many images on this site come from third-party sources such as Wikimedia Commons and are used under their own licenses, with attribution shown alongside each image. Those images remain the property of their respective creators and are governed by the license noted in their credit — not by these terms. If you believe any material is used incorrectly, tell us and we'll fix or remove it.
Accuracy and "not professional advice"
We research carefully and correct mistakes when we find them, but this is an editorial field guide, not professional, legal, or commercial advice. Handloom traditions vary by region, weaver, and time, and details can be contested. Use your own judgement — especially for purchasing decisions — and treat our guides as a starting point, not the final word.

We sometimes link to other websites for reference. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or privacy practices.
